USSSA bats carry a 1.15 BPF stamp, have a slightly bigger barrel at 2 3/4″, and are allowed to perform at a higher level, which is why they’re the standard for most travel ball and tournament play. A USA bat can be used in USSSA leagues, but a USSSA bat is not allowed in USA-sanctioned play, so it’s always worth double-checking with your league before buying if you’re not sure which stamp your player actually needs.
